Well first let's catch you up. I am a little over 11weeks pregnant. For most of you who know me trying for a baby has been a longer journey than expected. After a year on fertility treatments we decided to put it aside for a while back in January 2012. Well little did we know God had other plans. After 4 months on April 30th that little stick showed up with two lines on it.
I was SHOCKED!! I was couldn't believe it. I wasn't even late. I woke up feeling horrible and new that it just wasn't normal so I took one of those dollar tree tests (I have a million of them from previous months). It came up a very faint positive.. Before completely panicking I called my friend Heather who was no help at keeping me calm LOL She was so excited!!! I immediately went CVS and purchased a more expensive test even though I knew positive is positive and sure enough that one was positive as well.. I just sat on the floor and cried until I could contain myself enough to throw on some more presentable clothes and get to Heather's house. When I got there she ran out to car so excited!! I was shaking so bad that I had to get her to wrap the present I was going to bring to perry. I decided to give it to him with this little Yankees onesie I found last year when we were trying. I had told him last year that when we got pregnant I would give this to him to let him know the good news! So she wrapped up the test in the outfit and I went straight to his work. I called my friend Kylie who works with Perry and asked her to take a video of me giving a present to perry and so she followed him outside and watched as I gave him this little gift. His first words were.. Really????.... then... Are you serious???.. We were both over joyed but still had very reserved feelings. We both didn't want to get over excited because of our experience with miscarriage last year. This little sticky bean has held on tight though and we couldn't be more please with how great this pregnancy has been..
The first 8 weeks were a little rough on me. I got sick with not pregnancy stuff but something very similar to the flu. So on top of pregnancy stuff it was pretty rough. We went in for our 8 week appointment. You would have thought I would have been more nervous, but the Dr's office that I go to is just awesome! They always make me feel so at ease and Im so chatty with them I don't get a chance to even get nervous. LoL ( Katie, Leslie and Becky Yall are awesome if you're reading this) Our ultrasound went great. Our little peanut looked perfect.. Heart rate was at 164 and was measuring right at 8weeks 1 day!
Well God knows I can't keep my mouth shut so we decided to go ahead and tell anyone.. Since then everything has been perfect.. I've got alot of symptoms, but nothing unbearable just the normal good ole pregnancy symptoms.
As of today everything is going great and we are trusting that God will continue to protect our little bambino and keep him/her safe...
