3rd Trimester Favorites

Haven't done one of these in a while so here are my 3rd Trimester Favorites:

#1 : Motherhood Maternity Nursing Tanks- Yes I am being specific to the motherhood brand. I tried multiple different maternity tanks some nursing and some not and they were all too short. I am 5'9 and have a longer torso not to mention the large prego belly. A couple of tips... Go ahead and by the nursing tanks why buy the regular maternity ones when you can't use them after baby. At least with the nursing tanks you can use them while you are prego and after baby when you nurse. The motherhood maternity nursing tanks were the best for length and comfort and weren't to much more than most others I found.

#2 : Genes Vitamin E Creme- My mom introduced this to me about 10 weeks ago and to be honest I wish I had had it from the beginning. It is very thick and  buttery if you will, but I love it! It has cut down on a lot of the itching and since I started using it I have yet to have another stretch mark. Coincidence?? Maybe.. but I will swear by it. I use it twice sometimes more a day. I also use baby oil in the shower.

#3: WATER- WATER WATER WATER.. I have been so thirsty lately! I am not the best about drinking enough water but lately I have been so thirsty all I want is a big glass of water. Especially in the middle of the night.

#4: Tums- Specifically the all berries kind. My husband will tell you I am not the best about taking anything that requires me to chew it up first. I am a little dramatic about it, but for real I'm not a big fan of eating chalk. Anyways the all berries kind is not that bad. I have had so many by now that I don't complain. I would happily take a tums before experiencing this horrible indigestion.

#5: Maternity Leggings- What a life saver!!! I have two pairs of these and the go through the washer MULTIPLE times a week. This is all I can wear besides sweat pants. I have worn these since 15 plus weeks and they just grow with me. I LOVE THEM!!!

#6: U-Shaped Maternity Pillow - A GOD SEND!!! My sweet momma bought be this amazing pillow last week and surprised me at the work with it. I have slept horribly since the first trimester and of course it has only gotten worse. So after a lot of complaining and she hears the most of it because we talk all day at work, she either loves really felt bad for me or was really annoyed and tried to come up with a fix. She says its because she loves me, but somedays ya never know! :) **Love you Mom** Anyways, I love this pillow! I have purchased all kinds of maternity pillows the boppy brand the regular C shaped kind and none of them were comfortable enough for me. Until now.. I have slept over 10 hours every night since I got this thing. I owe her a lot for getting me this!!!

#7: Snickers- as the commercial says Im just not myself without a snickers! I have never liked snickers before being pregnanat but it is becoming somewhat of a requirement. Oh well Im enjoying them before baby gets here because then all changes to a strict diet! (and when I say diet I do mean cutting out all these sweets im consuming. Please do not tell me about how many calories I need especially while breastfeeding and blah blah blah.. I know all about it and will make sure I eat enough and enough of the right foods to take care of myself and my baby)

Anyways these are a few of my favorite things!

35 weeks!

How far along? 35 weeks!!! 5 to go!!
Maternity clothes? Still Rockin the maternity leggings and anything that feels comfortable.
Stretch marks? still the same ones , all under my belly button.. I sure hope they fade :(
Sleep:. Horrible!!!!! Im thinking about trying to take a tylonol PM to help me sleep at least one night. Im starting to get up a lot more to go to the bathroom much like my first trimester. Except it takes a little longer to get out of the bed.
Best moment this week:. Well on the baby front not much happened. We had our 34 week appointment which went well. She is still measuring a few weeks ahead so we may have a big girl on our hands. However a GREAT moment this week was Alabama winning the SEC championship! ROLL TIDE BABY!
Miss anything?. The gym and breathing normally
Movement: . Oh yes still lots of movement.
Food cravings:  SNICKERS!!!
Food aversions: not really..
Gender: GIRL!!!!!!
Labor signs:  BH contractions here and there.. I had a lot last night while i was sleeping. I was getting nervous that they wer so consistent, but they aren't as bad today.
Belly Button in or out?. ughhh!!! Its in but it wants to come out. So here's the thing the whole belly button thing has never bothered me until I was pregnant. My friend Sara Beth has always been so weird about belly buttons that it cracks me up and I loved to mess with her. NEVER AGAIN WILL I DO THAT! I have never been more grossed out by my belly button. I don't want people to rub my belly and touch it or talk about it or anything. It's so odd, but I can't stand it....Next topic  please.
Wedding rings on or off? Off.. I shoved those bad boys on for maternity pictures, but they came off immediately after.
Baby Purchases this weekNope. She is good to go. I do need to get her thermometer, so I will try and get that soon.
Looking forward to:. My dad coming up today and starting to really get the house ready for her to come. Also next weeks starts our weekly appointments. Yay!

Maternity Photos!

Last Sunday we had some of our Maternity pictures done by my sweet friend Michelle. It was quite a fun day filled with laughing, dog poop(long story), laying in the grass and yummy food at my favorite place Mugshots. I just wanted to share a few of the pictures with my readers. So here ya go:

33 Weeks...

I have been horrible about keeping this updated! We have just had so much going on its unreal! I can't believe we are already 33 weeks into this pregnanacy and closing in on the end! I will admit I am ready to meet her and ready to have my body back! I am uncomfortable about 90% of the time. I feel alot like I did the first trimester with an added watermelon in my belly! Im tired  all the time, making about 4 trips a night to the bathroom, a lot of trouble breathing, and swelling that makes me feel like I could explode. Not to mention the contractions that are not so fun! As much as I love the fact that I can keep her safe in there. I am ready to hold her in my arms! :)

We have got a lot accomplished over the last few weeks. Her nursery is pretty much completed. We have everything we need minus a few odd and end things. So hopefully all things will be finalized by the end of next week. I can't stand having loose ends. So I will be working hard to get things finished up.

We have started our every 2 week appointments so we will go again next Tuesday and then at 36 weeks which will then begin our every week appointments. So the countdown begins :)

My friend Casey who is a little ahead of me does this every week so I think I will have to steal this from her! Thanks Casey for the idea!! :) - ( Her Blog http://littlebabyouren.blogspot.com/ )

4 days until THANKSGIVING

4 weeks until Violet is considered FULL TERM

5.5 weeks until CHRISTMAS

6.5 weeks until NEW YEARS

Maternity clothes? I can only wear my maternity leggings.... thats it... and big t shirts
Stretch marks? a few :( but they haven't gotten any worse
Sleep: Not so good.. Even though I may be in bed 10 hours I toss and turn. I can't breathe when I lay flat so Im sleeping sitting up and as I mentioned before going to the bathroom quite frequently.

Raising A Girl

After reading all these blogs about being a mother to a little girl and all the things these momma's want to teach there girls. I though I would share a few things I want to teach my daughter. Some of my own and some shared with other moms.

Getting ready to bring this little girl into the world is one of the scariest things I have done. I wasn't nervous about marrying my husband. I knew we WOULD NOT fail. Never a doubt in my mind about that. God gave me a good one. Before we knew we were having a girl I was more comfortable with the  idea of having a boy. The thought of another little boy in the world like my husband melted my heart. I was excited about seeing Perry get to teach him all the "BOY" stuff and watch him grow into a wonderful you man like his daddy. Well God apparently has other plans for us. He has always known how to stretch my comfort zone. So he is giving me a girl. What a scary thought! I was talking to my friend Jen this morning about how we don't want our little girls to make the same mistakes we did. Ugh! I don't want her to experience some of the heartache I did. I wish I could protect her from all the horrible things that will come her way. I know I can't. As much as that is any parents goal to protect there kids from everything, they can't. What I can do is do my best to "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."Proverbs 22:6. The effort my parents took to teach me about God's unfailing love and his mercy. I always knew who to fall back on. When I couldn't trust my friends or a man or people in general I knew I could always trust in Him. I knew that no matter that mistakes I made or how far off the tracks I got he would be right there waiting and forgiving and loving. I've never once not felt loved. I have been blessed with a loving family always loving friends and the love of the most amazing man! Now I am going to be blessed with a sweet little girl!! Oh how I can't wait to love on her!

40 Things I want to teach my little girl!

25 weeks....

Sorry I haven't updated in a while I have been going going for a few weeks. We went to the beach on a family vacation and I was able to get down to Birmingham to visit with some friends and family for a few days and as a matter of fact I'm sitting on a golf course taking pictures for a charity golf tourney that my husbands company is hosting. So I am actually doing this from my phone. Not much has changed pregnancy wise over the past few weeks besides getting much larger and things getting much more real. Nursery Inspiration

Soo now that we know its a girl I am in full on nursery planning mode!!

These are some of the rooms that I have been using for inspiration!

I love the simplicity of this room. I love the white furniture! This is actually the crib and dresser we are registering for. I know we said we were going to do darker furniture, but when we found out it was a girl I just had my heart set on white furniture!

We definitely want to use wainscoting in her room, but we cant do the beadboard because we would have to remove the baseboards in the house and its a rental home so we can't do that. This is the cutest way to do it I think with the least about of damage to the walls plus it should be much cheaper, but we will see how that home depot bill turns out when we actually purchase it.. haha it always seems to be more than I think it will be. :)

This is the bedding we registered for at Pottery Barn and I actually want to use these exact colors in her room. There is a possibility I am leaning towards more purple colors because of her name will be Violet ;) . I'll try not to overdue it...

I want to use these words somewhere in her room!!

These are a couple neat Ideas I want to do...

Also I want to do something similar to this picture frame idea above her dresser..

Anyways these are just some of the ideas I have it will be interesting to see how it all turns out. We are going to be flipping the guest room to my husbands old man room( yes old man room because he is having to get rid of it to make room for baby V) and we are making the old guest room the nursery!

We are getting ready to clean the rooms out now. I will start to post pictures as I go!

**I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THE PICTURES LISTED BELOW MOST OF THEM WERE FOUND OF PINTEREST!! Please visit my January Baby Board to view these pictures with links to the original source**
